About
Convert WebP images to JPG directly in your browser without uploading them to a processing server. Choose JPG quality from 1–100 and set a background colour for transparent WebP areas before conversion. PixelEditor shows the actual output file size and handles lossy, lossless, and animated WebP files as browser-decoded images. Transparency is flattened into your selected background colour, while metadata is not carried into the JPG. Free to use, with no account or watermark required.
Data Handling
PixelEditor processes WebP images directly in your browser. When you select a WebP, the browser decodes it into your device's memory and the pixels are re-encoded as JPG using the quality and background colour you select. The WebP is not uploaded to a PixelEditor image-processing server for conversion. PixelEditor does not intentionally store your selected image in a database, cloud storage, or server-side processing queue. The selected image remains available to the page while you are using the converter. PixelEditor does not intentionally write the image to local storage or persistent browser storage. When you load another file or close the page, the image data held by the page can be released. The converter does not use cookies or analytics to track your image-processing activity. The image itself is not included in the network requests used to load or operate the converter. Like any website, the server delivering PixelEditor may receive normal technical information associated with a web request, such as your IP address, timestamp, browser information, and requested page. The JPG is generated locally in your browser and becomes available for download when you choose to save it. PixelEditor does not need access to the resulting file after it has been generated. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas of the WebP are replaced with the background colour selected by you. Animated WebP files are handled as still images, with the first frame used for the JPG output. The converted JPG does not preserve the original WebP's EXIF or colour-profile metadata. PixelEditor uses browser-based processing so that WebP-to-JPG conversion does not require sending your image to a processing server, while making no claim that the website itself collects zero technical data.
