Data Handling
PixelEditor processes batch images directly in your browser. Each selected file is decoded into your device's memory, compressed locally, and re-encoded according to the settings you choose. If you use target mode, the browser performs the required encoding attempts locally to find a result that approaches the selected file-size target. The images are not uploaded to a PixelEditor image-processing server for compression. PixelEditor does not intentionally store your selected images, compressed outputs, or ZIP archive in a database, cloud storage, or server-side processing queue. The batch queue exists only in the page while you are using the tool. PixelEditor does not intentionally write the selected images, results, or queue data to local storage or persistent browser storage. Reloading or closing the page clears the current batch. Target mode may perform multiple local encoding attempts for each image, and dimension reduction may be applied when enabled. These operations happen on your device rather than on a remote processing server. The practical batch limit therefore depends partly on the memory and processing resources available to your browser. The batch compressor does not use cookies or analytics to track your image-processing activity. The image data itself is not included in the network requests used to load or operate the tool. Like any website, the server delivering PixelEditor may receive normal technical information associated with a web request, such as your IP address, timestamp, browser information, and requested page. Compressed images and the ZIP archive are generated locally in your browser and become available for download when processing finishes. PixelEditor does not need access to those files after they have been generated. Compression can change image data, particularly when using lossy formats or quality settings. Metadata such as EXIF, GPS, and colour-profile information is not carried into the re-encoded output files. PixelEditor uses browser-based batch compression so that your images do not need to be sent to a processing server, while making no claim that the website itself collects zero technical data.
