Remove EXIF and other readable metadata from images directly in your browser without uploading them to a processing server. PixelEditor first shows the metadata found in your file, including camera details, dates, software and GPS coordinates, then creates a cleaned copy and reads it again to verify the removal. JPG, PNG and WebP can be cleaned without re-encoding the image, while unsupported formats are converted to JPG with a clear warning. Keep or remove the colour profile as needed. Data Handling
PixelEditor processes the selected image directly in your browser. The file is read into your device's memory, its metadata is inspected locally, and the cleaned copy is generated on your device. The image is not uploaded to a PixelEditor image-processing server for metadata removal. PixelEditor does not intentionally store your photo, GPS coordinates, metadata, or metadata report in a database, cloud storage, or server-side processing queue. The metadata parser runs locally in the browser. The location information, camera details, dates, software information, and other readable tags shown by the tool are processed on your device and are not sent to PixelEditor for analysis. PixelEditor does not intentionally write the selected image or metadata to local storage or persistent browser storage. When you load another image or close the page, the image and metadata held by the page can be released. The cleaner does not use cookies or analytics to track your image-processing activity. The image itself and the metadata extracted from it are not included in the network requests used to load or operate the tool. Like any website, the server delivering PixelEditor may receive normal technical information associated with a web request, such as your IP address, timestamp, browser information, and requested page. For JPG, PNG, and WebP, the cleaner can remove supported metadata while keeping the compressed image data untouched. Other formats may be re-encoded as JPG, which can change image quality. The colour profile is kept by default unless you choose to remove it. The cleaned file is generated locally in your browser and becomes available for download when you choose to save it. PixelEditor does not need access to the resulting file after it has been generated. PixelEditor uses browser-based processing so that metadata removal does not require sending your photo or its metadata to a processing server, while making no claim that the website itself collects zero technical data.
